7 (2+1+1+2+1) | Spirit comments | Even though we appreciated the drive and intensity throughout the entire game, as well as the effort to resolve the ongoing issues with a spirit time-out, a vast majority of the players tended to have bad communication skills. On one side there was the dishonesty when any physical contact was used as an advantage to gain possession, when it was quite clear that it did not affect the game. Then it was the player’s difficulty with speaking English, with a player not being able to speak it at all. | there was no continuity in the calls during the course of the match, they were not continuous during the match regarding fouls and physical contact. When a call was made their reaction was excessive and furthermore protests immediately came from the sideline/coach without giving the players on the field time to talk about it/interventions from players outside not requested by the players inside the field |
